The Carolina Customs Universal Aluminum Truck Hinge Kit is a premium, high-strength hardware solution engineered to replace worn-out, saggy, or obsolete original factory tailgate or bed hinges. Over decades of use, original factory truck hinges experience metal fatigue, rust, and ovaled pivot holes, leading to misaligned tailgates that rattle or bind.
Machined entirely from solid aluminum plate, this kit restores smooth mechanical motion and adds a clean, custom show-car look to classic custom trucks and street rod utility beds.
Billet Construction & Adaptable Mounting Architecture
Solid Aluminum Plate Core: Precision-machined from solid aluminum plate for outstanding structural rigidity, preventing the flexing and shifting common with stamped steel factory hinges.
Ball Milled Detailing: Features a clean, ball-milled design pattern that adds a premium, high-end finished appearance to your truck's bed lines.
Universal Fitting System: Engineered as a universal-fit design, meaning that some vehicle mounting point alteration or custom fabrication may be necessary depending on your specific truck make and model year.
Heavy-Duty Chassis Fabrication Bar: The system is shipped with a comprehensive mounting kit that includes a 42" long steel bar equipped with un-welded steel tabs. This allows the customer or fabricator to position and weld the tabs along the bar exactly where needed to line up with the truck's frame or bed sides.

🛠️ Fabricator's Installation Note: Because this is a universal fabrication kit, take time to clamp the 42" mounting bar and position the weld tabs securely during your mock-up phase. Verify that your tailgate or body panels maintain perfectly parallel gaps and clear your taillight housings completely throughout the full swing of the hinge before laying down your final structural welds.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
