Description
The Power Lock Actuator Brackets for 1947–51 Chevy Trucks are a specialized solution designed for owners who have already upgraded to the Altman Easy Latch kit. While the Altman kit provides a modern "bear jaw" rotary claw latch for smooth, safe door operation, these brackets provide the necessary mounting points to add modern power door locks.
Seamless Power Lock Integration
Precision Geometry: These brackets are engineered to mount a universal power lock actuator at the exact angle and position required to interface with the Altman Easy Latch mechanism.
Industry Standard Fit: The mounting holes are spaced 2.3" center-to-center, which matches the majority of universal "2-wire" or "5-wire" power lock actuators.
Reliable Operation: Using these vehicle-specific brackets eliminates the "binding" and trial-and-error fabrication often required when trying to fit power actuators into the tight confines of a 1940s door shell.

These brackets are designed to work exclusively with the Altman Easy Latch, a system that replaces primitive stock latches with modern technology:

Kit Contents
This pair of brackets includes the hardware necessary to outfit both the driver and passenger side doors:
Left and Right Mounting Brackets (Steel construction).
Installation Hardware and detailed instructions.
Lock Rod Clips to securely connect the actuator to the latch linkage.
Technical Note
This kit does not include the actuators themselves. It is a bracket-only set designed to facilitate the installation of aftermarket power lock motors. Before ordering, verify that your universal lock actuators utilize the standard 2.3" mounting spread to ensure a direct bolt-on fit.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
