The Trique Altman Easy Latch Lock Cylinder Keeper is a precision-machined solution for classic Ford owners who want to add a modern convenience to their vintage ride: a driver-side door lock.
The "Safety First" Problem
In the 1930s and 40s, many Ford vehicles were manufactured without a driver-side door lock. Because street parking was common and exiting into traffic was dangerous (or even illegal in some municipalities), manufacturers encouraged drivers to slide across the bench seat and exit/lock the vehicle from the passenger (curb) side.
Modern Convenience & Security
Whether you have upgraded to the Altman Easy Latch system or are still running your factory latches, this keeper allows you to mirror the passenger-side lock setup on your driver's door.
Precision Machined: Crafted from 6061-T6 billet aluminum for high strength and a perfect fit inside the door shell.
Simple Installation: Once you mark and cut the hole in your door skin to match the passenger side, this block mounts to the interior of the door with two screws.
Secure Retention: Features an integrated set screw that firmly locks the cylinder in place, preventing it from spinning or being pulled out by a thief.

This specific keeper is designed to match the lock cylinder profiles of the following Ford models:
1948–1952 Ford F-1 Pickup Trucks
1937–1940 Ford 5-Window Coupes
1937–1940 Ford Tudor Sedans

Material: 6061 Aluminum.
Hardware: Includes mounting screws and the lock-retention set screw.
Note: This is the Keeper only. You will need to source a matching Ford lock cylinder and key set separately to complete the installation.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
Please note:
Payment processing fees (including PayPal, Amazon Pay, or other merchant fees) are non-refundable
It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund
