We've combined all the necessary components for a seamless, bolt-on conversion that replaces your traditional turn-down exterior handles with a modern, secure latching system.
How It Works
This specialized kit takes our standard Altman Easy Latch system for 1947-1951 Chevy trucks and swaps out the traditional latches for the newer 1952-1954 Chevy Truck latches. This key modification creates the necessary pad for your push-button exterior handle to engage. It's a vehicle-specific, bolt-on kit that's designed to work with your exterior and interior handles, as well as your exterior door lock cylinders.

No Welding Necessary: This is a true bolt-on kit, saving you time and effort during installation.
Secure Bear Claw Latches: The included bear claw rotary latches are case hardened and zinc plated to fight corrosion and ensure a strong, reliable closure.
Contoured Jam Plates: Vehicle-specific jam plates are contoured to match your truck's doors, providing a perfect fit that is in no way a universal application.
Comprehensive Kit: You get everything you need for both doors, including latch plates, bear claw latches, templates, hardware, detailed instructions, striker plates, and even stainless steel striker bolts.
Smooth and Safe Operation: The Altman Easy Latch kit will have your doors opening and closing smoothly and safely, giving you peace of mind.
Works with Kindig-it Design Handles: These latches are designed to also work with the popular Kindig-It Flush Mount Door Handles
Note: The Altman Easy Latch does not allow the door to be locked from the inside without the use of power lock actuators.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
