This kit provides an ideal alternative to complex, dash-disassembling systems by mounting directly under your existing dashboard. It features a simplified electrical setup that requires no custom ductwork or separate dash controls.
The standout feature of this specific kit version is its horizontally optimized condenser layout, which is tailored to fit low-profile radiator configurations where vertical grille space is limited.
Compact Evaporator & Simple 3-Wire Interface
Space-Saving Cabin Footprint: The primary under-dash evaporator housing measures a compact 16" wide by 13-1/2" deep by 6" tall, keeping it tucked cleanly underneath the dashboard edge to maintain passenger legroom.
Integrated Louver Panel: Features a classic matte-black face equipped with two high-volume rectangular center louvers and two round outer directional louvers, allowing you to direct airflow throughout the cabin without routing extra duct hoses.
Ultra-Simple 3-Wire Hookup: Eliminates complicated dashboard wiring trees with a basic three-wire connection (fused ignition power, compressor clutch trigger, and a solid chassis ground).
Built-in System Controls: A 3-speed blower motor selector and an adjustable thermostatic switch are mounted directly on the front face of the unit for straightforward, driver-accessible adjustments.
Engine Bay & Low-Profile Condenser Components
Wide Horizontal Condenser: Features a heavy-duty 14" tall by 18" wide horizontal condenser core. This configuration is specifically engineered for custom street rods or classic vehicles with wide, low engine bays or chopped radiator core supports where a taller vertical condenser won't clear the hood line.
Sanden-Style V-Belt Compressor: Outfitted with an industry-standard, high-efficiency Sanden-style A/C compressor driven via a traditional V-belt pulley system.
Application-Specific Compressor Brackets: The kit includes custom-selected engine mounting brackets, ensuring proper belt alignment for your specific engine platform (such as Small/Big Block Chevy, Ford, or custom applications).
Beadlock O-Ring Hardware: Arrives with a complete A/C hose kit using secure, professional beadlock O-ring fittings, a high-capacity fluid receiver/drier, and an inline binary safety switch to automatically protect the system against pressure spikes.
🛠️ Installation & Plumbing Note: The kit includes a manual heater hose shut-off valve. Turning this valve off during summer prevents hot engine coolant from cycling through the under-dash unit, maximizing the air conditioner's cooling efficiency. Make sure to route the dual evaporator drain tubes through the firewall at a steady downward angle using the included drain hose kit to ensure condensation exits the cabin smoothly. Note: Bulk heater hoses, custom firewall bulkhead plates, and R134a refrigerant must be supplied by the installer.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
