Commonly incorporated into custom street rod, muscle car, and race car brake plumbing, it provides a reliable, hidden alternative to mechanical brake pedal switches.

Mechanical brake pedal light switches require precise bracket alignment and can slip or fail over time. The Wilwood hydraulic pressure switch mounts directly into the brake fluid line, triggering the stop lights automatically as soon as driver foot pressure builds hydraulic pressure in the braking system.
Featuring a dual-pole electrical terminal layout, the internal circuit closes to illuminate the stop lights when hydraulic pressure reaches 60 to 100 PSI—ensuring instant light activation during light pedal pressure while preventing false triggers from residual line pressure.

Installation & Wiring Guidance
Thread Sealing: Apply a small amount of Teflon tape or liquid thread sealant to the male 1/8" NPT threads, keeping sealant away from the leading edge to prevent brake fluid contamination.
System Bleeding: After installing or replacing the pressure switch in a hydraulic port, thoroughly bleed the brake system to eliminate trapped air bubbles.
