Description
The Resto Power Window Crank Switches are a specialized solution for enthusiasts who want the convenience of power windows without compromising a vehicle's original interior. These switches allow you to use your factory window crank handles as the actual triggers for your electric window motors.
Seamless "Stock" Operation
The system is designed to be completely hidden behind the door panel. Once installed, your original manual handle mounts directly to the switch unit:
Intuitive Control: You simply push the window handle slightly forward or pull it backward to raise or lower the glass.
Neutral Return: The switches are spring-loaded, meaning the handle automatically returns to the center "home" position once you let go.
Preservation: Because the technology is hidden, you don't have to cut holes in your door panels for modern plastic switches, preserving the value and look of a classic restoration.
Fitment & Shank Styles
To ensure compatibility across different makes and eras, these kits are available with three specific mounting shanks to match your original handles:
Standard Square Shank: Fits most Ford and Mopar applications.
GM Pre-1948 Spline: Designed for early General Motors vehicles.
1949-Up Spline: The standard fitment for later GM and Ford models.
Kit Configuration
2-Door Support: Each kit includes two switch assemblies, enough to convert both the driver and passenger side doors.
Motor Compatibility: These work with most major aftermarket power window regulators, including brands like Specialty Power Windows, Electric-Life, and Nu-Relics.
