The 1949–1954 Chevy Car SuperSlide Rear Parallel Leaf Spring Kit by Posies is a complete rear suspension package designed to lower 1949–1954 Chevrolet passenger cars 3" from stock ride height. Engineered around "replacement" style SuperSlide leaf springs, this system bolts directly into your stock factory frame hangers without requiring cutting or modification to the primary chassis mounting points.
This kit enables modern open-driveline rear axle swaps while delivering a smooth, quiet ride through Posies' signature friction-reducing inter-leaf technology.

Installation & Fabrication Notes
Upper Shock Mount Requirement: The kit includes weld-on lower shock mounts (and optional rear gas shocks). The installer must supply and weld a section of steel box tubing between the frame rails to serve as the upper shock crossmember and upper mount.
Ordering Information: Specify your exact body style and rear axle housing type (e.g., Ford 8", Ford 9", GM 10/12-bolt) when ordering to ensure proper U-bolt, axle saddle, and spring plate dimensions.

Damages and Issues

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
