The 1941–1948 Ford Car Bolt-In SuperSlide Parallel Adjustable Rear Leaf Spring Kit by Posies (Part #8048BS) is the industry-standard rear suspension kit for "Fat Fendered" Ford passenger cars.
Unlike single-position under-frame kits, the 8048BS Adjustable Kit features inboard mounting brackets that attach inside a boxed frame. The front mounting bracket includes 4 adjustable hole positions for the front spring eye, allowing builders to fine-tune the rear stance and dial in the exact ride height desired to complement lowered beam axles or Independent Front Suspensions (IFS).

4-Position Height Adjustment: Multi-hole front mounting brackets let you select from 4 different mounting points to precisely dial in your rear ride height.
Inboard Boxed Frame Mounting: Mounts spring hanger brackets inboard of the frame rails, providing exceptional tire and wheel clearance inside the rear wheel wells.
Centered Wheel Alignment: Engineered specifically for 1941–1948 Ford body lines to center the rear wheels perfectly in the fender openings.
SuperSlide Inter-Leaf Technology: Features Posies' signature moly-nylon inter-leaf buttons to eliminate leaf-on-leaf friction, rust binding, and squeaks.
Open Driveline Requirement:Open driveline required. Compatible only with modern open-driveline rear end conversions (e.g., Ford 8", Ford 9", GM 10/12-bolt); will not work with stock torque tube driveshafts.

Frame Notch Requirement: Frame "C" notching is strongly recommended to maintain adequate rear axle travel at lower height settings. Posies frame "C" notch kit #8006 is designed specifically for this application.
Boxed Frame Requirement: Inboard brackets require a boxed frame rail section for proper structural attachment and load transfer.

Damages and Issues
