The 1942–1948 Chevy Car SuperSlide Rear Parallel Leaf Spring Kit by Posies provides a complete rear suspension transformation for 1942 through 1948 Chevrolet passenger cars (as well as late-1937 through 1941 models utilizing the 48" spring length). Designed around "replacement" style SuperSlide leaf springs, this kit mounts directly into your factory stock frame hangers to lower the vehicle 3" from stock ride height.
This kit facilitates open-driveline rear end swaps while delivering exceptional ride quality through Posies' signature friction-reducing inter-leaf technology.

Fabrication & Ordering Guidance
Rear Crossmember Requirement: Because original 1942–1948 Chevy frames did not include a rear upper shock crossmember in this location, the installer must fabricate and weld a crossmember (typically using steel box tubing) between the frame rails to mount the tops of the shock absorbers.
Ordering Requirements: Always specify your exact body style (Coupe, Sedan, Convertible) and rear axle housing type (e.g., Ford 8", Ford 9", GM 10/12-bolt) when placing your order to ensure correct U-bolt, spring plate, and axle saddle sizing.

Damages and Issues

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
