Description
The 1936–1937 Chevy Car Weld-On Rear Parallel Leaf Spring Kit by Posies is a complete rear suspension package designed specifically for 1933–1937 Chevrolet street rods and classic builds. Moving away from "one-size-fits-all" aftermarket solutions, Posies specifically tunes these SuperSlide springs for 1930s Chevy chassis dynamics to lower the rear end approximately 3" from stock height while properly centering the rear axle and tires within the fender openings.
This kit replaces obsolete factory torque-tube suspensions with a modern parallel leaf spring architecture, allowing builders to swap in open-driveline rear axles (such as Ford 8", Ford 9", or GM 10/12-bolt rear ends).
Key Features & Design Highlights
3" Lowered Stance: Drops the rear ride height approximately 3" to level the stance and complement lowered independent front suspensions (IFS) or dropped beam axles.
Axle & Wheel Centering: Spring rates and pin locations are calculated specifically to align the rear wheels in the center of 1936–1937 Chevy fender wells.
SuperSlide Friction Control: Leaf packs feature Posies' signature moly-nylon inter-leaf buttons embedded in die-formed pockets to eliminate metal-on-metal spring grinding, squeaks, and binding.
Weld-On Frame Engineering: Includes heavy-duty front weld-on spring mounts for high structural rigidity during street rod use.
Reused Factory Frame Points: Rear shackles utilize the existing frame mounts once the original factory threaded bushings are removed.

Included Hardware Package: Comes complete with SuperSlide leaf springs, front weld-on frame hangers, rear shackles with bushings, axle saddles/pads, U-bolts, lower axle plates, lower shock mounts, and detailed installation instructions.
Upper Shock Mount Requirement: This kit requires the installer to fabricate or supply an upper shock crossmember/bar to mount the top of the rear shock absorbers.
Welding Requirement: Even if temporary bolt-in hangers are supplied for test-fitting and alignment, all frame brackets must be fully welded for final vehicle operation.
Ordering Information: Always specify your exact body style (Master, Standard, Coupe, Sedan) and rear axle housing type when ordering to ensure proper U-bolt and axle pad sizing.

Damages and Issues
