The #1004 series features a 30" eye-to-eye measurement, designed specifically for:
Over-the-Axle Installation: Pair with custom or aftermarket narrowed front beam axles featuring a 35" perch boss center distance in 1928–1934 Ford chassis.
Behind-the-Axle Installation: Pair with a 33" spring perch distance when constructing a spring-behind-the-axle front end configuration.
Narrow-Track Builds: The ultra-compact 30" length provides maximum shackle and leaf-tip clearance inside tightly tucked front fender wells or open-wheel highboy setups.
1004 Series Stance & Spring Rate Configurations
Posies offers the #1004 front spring in four distinct eye and spring rate configurations:
Reversed Eye (P/N 1004): The standard configuration for Small Block V8 (SBC/SBF) engines and fendered hot rods. Features a 3-1/4" free arch, lowering the front stance while ensuring fender lip clearance.
Low Reversed Eye (P/N 1004L): Lowers the front profile 1" lower than the standard reversed eye spring with a 2-1/4" free arch. Engineered for fenderless hot rods and highboys seeking an aggressive low-slung stance. (Note: Requires a frame notch directly above the spring for clearance).
Stock Eye (P/N 1004S): Features a 4-1/4" free arch to preserve standard ride height or provide extra oil pan and ground clearance.
Reversed Eye Heavy (P/N 1004H): Utilizes standard reversed eye geometry paired with a stiffer spring rate designed for heavy engine swaps (Big Block V8s, Supercharged/Blown engines, or Chrysler Hemis).

Damages and Issues
