The Pete and Jakes Viper Coilover Shocks are the first in a series of new, high-performance suspension products designed exclusively for hot rods and pro street machines. These shocks combine advanced gas-charged technology with high-quality billet construction and precision valving for superior, fade-free damping.
Key Performance and Construction Features:
Hot Rod Exclusive Design: The first shock absorber engineered specifically for the unique demands of hot rods and pro street vehicles.
Billet Aluminum Construction: Made from super strong 6061T-6 aluminum alloy, making it the first affordable all-billet shock absorber on the market.
Gas Charged: Provides superior, fade-free damping and consistent operation under demanding conditions.
Advanced Damping: Features a six-stage automatic damping function that continuously adjusts to load and velocity factors for proper damping. A special anti-topping function is also built in.
11-Position Adjuster: Includes an 11-position damping adjuster knob, allowing you to easily fine-tune the ride quality you desire.
Double Wall Body: Protects the inner cylinder from damage due to dents, ensuring damping consistency by preserving piston/body compatibility.
Leak Protection: A special vented oil cavity protects the top seal from excessive pressure, solving the common problem of leaking shocks.
Premium Bushings: Equipped with Pete & Jake’s Microflex® Bushings.
Installation Note: Ride Angle
The proper ride and handling characteristics are heavily determined by the shock's mounting angle:
More Vertical: Results in a stiffer ride.
Less Vertical: Results in a softer ride, but also provides less support during hard bumps and cornering.
NOTE:Springs are NOT included with the purchase of the shock pair.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
Custom or personalized products (including special orders)
Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
Sale items
Gift cards

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted

Payment processing fees (including PayPal, Amazon Pay, or other merchant fees) are non-refundable
It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund
