The Pete and Jakes Complete Ford Model A Chassis is the definitive foundation for building a high-quality traditional hot rod or street rod. Engineered for strength, safety, and a perfect stance, this chassis eliminates the guesswork by providing a fully integrated suspension and drivetrain mounting system designed to fit 1928–1931 Model A Ford bodies.
Standard Chassis Configuration
The base chassis comes equipped with premium components as standard:
Front End: A 4-inch drop axle (available in Tube or I-Beam) paired with either a 4-Bar® or Hairpin radius rod setup.
Steering & Braking: Includes a complete Vega cross steering system and front disc brakes (available in 5x4.5" Ford or 5x4.75" Chevy bolt patterns).
Drivetrain Mounts: Universal mounts for Chevy or Ford engines and transmissions are pre-installed.
Rear End: A Ford 9-inch housing featuring new axles, 11-inch drum brakes, and a rebuilt 3.00 gear set.
Rear Suspension: Choice of a Ladder Bar or Rear 4-Bar® kit, supported by a coil-over system with Viper alloy shocks and a rear Panhard bar for lateral stability.
Brake Assembly: Includes a master cylinder mount, dual master cylinder, and brake pedal.
Premium Performance Upgrades
Customize your chassis with high-end braking and handling options:
Braking Upgrades: Options include Power Brakes (#2100A), Wilwood Calipers (#2100B), or a traditional Lincoln Drum Kit (#2100F). For a custom look, choose Drilled/Slotted and Zinc-coated rotors (#2100O).
Chassis Modifications: Achieve a lower profile with a Rear C-Notch (#2100L) or Front C-Notch (#2100LF).
Plumbing: Simplify your build with an installed Brake Line Kit (#2100G) or upgraded Polished Stainless Steel lines with AN fittings (#2100GS).
Rear Axle Options: Upgrade to a Winter’s Polished Billet 9" Housing (#2100H) or a narrowed Pro-Street cut housing for wide tires (#2100I).
Aesthetics & Show Chrome Options
For those building a show-quality vehicle, Pete and Jakes offers extensive finishing options:
Chrome Front End: Options for Show Chrome I-Beam axles (#2100C), Drilled axles (#2100CD), or a complete Chrome Front End (#2100D).
Detailed Finishes: Chrome options are available for spindles (#2100M), tie rod ends (#2100N), rear 4-bars (#2100Q), ladder bars (#2100T), and even leaf springs (#2100E).

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
Custom or personalized products (including special orders)
Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases
Sale items
Gift cards

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
Please note:
Payment processing fees (including PayPal, Amazon Pay, or other merchant fees) are non-refundable
It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund
