The Pete & Jakes 1933–1934 Ford Complete Front End Kit is an all-inclusive, hub-to-hub front chassis assembly engineered for classic street rods, hot rods, and vintage Ford coupes and sedans. Featuring a traditional 4" dropped I-beam straight axle, this unit establishes a classic hot rod stance while delivering reliable, modern steering control and stopping performance.
Suspension Architecture & Customization Options
Pete & Jakes provides custom options so builders can tailor the front end to match either a traditional 1950s/60s hot rod look or a modern street rod chassis layout:
Axle Styling & Finish Options:
Standard I-Beam Axle: Solid forged I-beam construction for a smooth, traditional aesthetic.
Drilled I-Beam Axle: Custom-drilled lightening holes along the main beam for an authentic vintage gasser or race-inspired look.
Finish Choices: Available in raw Plain Steel (ready for custom paint/powder coat) or high-luster Show Chrome.
Linkage & Radius Rod Configurations:
Hairpin Radius Rods: Ideal for traditional hot rod aesthetics with exposed side-slotted rods.
4-Bar Suspension System: Uses parallel links with urethane rod ends for improved adjustability, axle control, and smooth highway tracking.

Complete Component Breakdown (Hub-to-Hub)
This complete front assembly includes all required mechanical components, hardware, and brackets:
Axle & Spindles: 4" Dropped I-Beam Axle with Early Ford style reproduction spindles and fitted kingpin assemblies.
Primary Springs & Shackles: Transverse multi-leaf front spring, shackle assemblies, and lower leaf spring perches.
Damping System: Front smooth-ride hydraulic shocks paired with weld-on lower axle mounts and frame brackets.
Brake Assembly: Full front disc brake package (rotors, single-piston calipers, pads, and bearings) with optional upgrade to Wilwood Precision Disc Brakes.
Steering Linkage: Left and right steering arms, heavy-duty tie rod with rod ends, drag link, and a frame-mounted Panhard bar to eliminate side-to-side axle shift.

Installation & Frame Mounting Notes
Weld-On Frame Brackets: Frame mounting tabs for the radius rods/4-bar frame mounts, shock towers, and Panhard bar anchor must be TIG or MIG welded directly to the 1933–34 Ford frame rails.
Kingpin Service: Ensure kingpin bushings are lubricated with high-pressure chassis grease upon assembly and re-checked after the initial 500-mile break-in period.
Steering Alignment Setup: Set static front toe-in to $1/16\text{"}$ to $1/8\text{"}$ with a positive caster angle of 5° to 7° for optimal straight-line tracking and self-centering steering feel.

With original tags attached

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
