The Pete and Jakes #3017 Rear Parallel 4-Bar Kit is a foundational suspension upgrade for the 1932 Ford chassis. Engineered for both performance and simplicity, this kit replaces traditional transverse leaf springs with a more modern link system, providing vastly improved axle control and a smoother ride for your Deuce.
Engineering and Adjustability
Modern Axle Control: By using four parallel links, this system eliminates "spring wrap" and unpredictable axle movement common in factory setups, ensuring the rear end stays planted under power.
Fine-Tuned Stance: The rear axle brackets feature a 3-position coil-over mount. This allows you to adjust ride height and suspension travel without having to cut or weld new tabs.
Alignment Precision: The bars are fully adjustable, allowing you to "dial in" your pinion angle and wheelbase for perfect driveline geometry.
Road Comfort: Equipped with urethane bushings, the system is designed to absorb road noise and vibration while maintaining the rigidity needed for performance driving.
Build Quality and Finish
American Made: Manufactured in the USA using high-quality steel and precision-fit brackets.
Finish Options: Available in Plain Steel for those planning to paint or powder coat their chassis, or a Show Quality Chrome (#3017-C) finish for high-end builds.
Universal Compatibility: While designed for the 1932 Ford chassis, this kit works with Ford 8" and 9" rear ends, as well as GM 10 and 12-bolt housings.
Kit Components
Adjustable Bars: Four heavy-duty tubes with threaded adjusters.
Bushings: Durable urethane bushings with steel sleeves.
Brackets: Chassis-side brackets and rear axle housing brackets with 3-hole shock mounts.
Hardware: All necessary Grade 8 mounting bolts and specialized fasteners.
Important Installation Notes
Panhard Bar Required: Because this is a parallel system, it does not provide lateral stability on its own. A panhard rod is required to prevent the rear end from moving side-to-side.
Upper Crossmember: This kit does not include the upper coil-over crossmember or the shocks themselves. These components must be sourced separately to complete the installation.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
