The Pete and Jakes 1932 Ford Rear Coilover Suspension Kit is an all-in-one solution designed to modernize the ride and handling of your Deuce. It replaces the primitive stock buggy spring with a fully adjustable system that provides superior dampening and precise axle control.
Optimized for Ladder Bar Systems
While this kit provides the essential vertical support and dampening for your chassis, it is specifically designed to work in conjunction with a Rear Ladder Bar Suspension.
Traction & Torque: The ladder bars handle the fore-aft movement and engine torque, while this coilover kit manages the weight and ride quality.
Cohesive Design: Pete and Jakes engineered these components to share mounting geometry, ensuring that the coilover shocks and ladder bars operate through their travel arcs without binding.
System Stability: Using this kit with ladder bars provides the classic "hot rod" look while ensuring the rear axle remains perfectly centered and stable under hard acceleration.
Precision Handling & Stability
Lateral Control: The kit includes a specialized system to prevent lateral movement of the rear end, ensuring your car tracks straight and feels stable through corners.
Adjustable Geometry: The lower shock mounts feature three vertical positions, allowing you to fine-tune your vehicle's ride height and "rake" without compromising shock travel.
Modern Bushings: All moving links and shock mounts utilize urethane bushings, which offer a longer life and firmer response than traditional rubber while isolating road noise.
Ease of Installation
Direct Fit Crossmember: The included tube crossmember is designed to replace the stock unit by utilizing the original factory rivet holes for location. This ensures the suspension is perfectly squared to the frame with minimal fabrication.
Bolt-On Convenience: The upper brackets are designed to bolt directly onto the rear-end center section, simplifying the installation process.
Custom Tuning with Viper Alloy Shocks
Viper Alloy Shocks: This kit features premium adjustable valve shocks made from lightweight alloy. These allow you to click through different valving settings to find the perfect balance between "cruiser comfort" and "performance firmness."
Tailored Spring Rates: To accommodate everything from a lightweight roadster to a fully loaded steel Tudor, the kit is available in a wide range of spring rates: 130#, 160#, 190#, 220#, 250#, 300#, 350#, 400#, and 450#.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
