This Pete and Jakes Complete Dropped Tube Axle Front Suspension Kit provides everything needed to install a classic, lowered front end on your 1928-1931 Ford Model A, giving it the iconic hot rod stance with modern reliability. This comprehensive kit includes all components from hub to hub.
Included Suspension Components:
Dropped Tube Front Axle: A high-quality, fixture-welded tube axle (often 4" dropped) to achieve the perfect lowered stance.
Radius Rods (Your Choice): You can select between:
Hairpins (for a traditional, nostalgic look)
4-Bar Setup (for enhanced adjustability and stability)
Transverse Leaf Spring: A multi-leaf transverse spring, such as the Posies Superslide, for excellent ride quality and durability.
Front Shocks: High-quality gas shocks and weld-on shock brackets.
Panhard Bar: Included for lateral stability and to perfectly center the axle under the frame.
Included Steering and Braking Components:
Brakes: Typically includes 11" Disc Brakes with GM rotors and calipers for significant safety and stopping power upgrades.
Spindles: Spindles fitted with kingpins and fully packed front bearings.
Steering Components: Includes Steering Arms, Tie Rods, and Drag Link (configured for efficient Vega Cross Steering).
Mounting Hardware: All necessary brackets, rod ends, and small hardware for a straightforward installation.
Finish and Customization Options:
Finish: Available in Plain Steel or Chrome (at an additional cost).
Bolt Pattern: Available in common patterns like Ford 5 x 4-1/2" or GM 5 x 4-3/4" bolt patterns.
Note: This is a universal assembly and typically requires some fabrication for final installation, as the shock mounts and radius rod/4-bar frame mounts will need to be welded to your specific frame. It does not include the frame cross member or the steering box (like a Vega box).

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
