Standard factory throttle cables often bind, fray, or stick when routed to aftermarket carburetors or non-stock firewall locations. Lokar solves this by housing a high-tensile stainless steel inner cable inside a specially extruded PTFE (Teflon) liner. This low-friction sleeve significantly extends cable life, eliminates internal binding under tight bend radiuses, and ensures crisp, responsive throttle return.
The cable assembly features a clever clevis attachment designed without failure-prone cotter pins or set screws. Additionally, custom aluminum ferrules secure the cut ends of the inner wire, eliminating fraying during initial setup or future adjustments.
