The Lokar Throttle Cable for GM LS1 & Ram Jet 350 is engineered specifically to adapt cable-driven GM Gen III V8 and crate engine throttle bodies to classic vehicle firewall setups. Featuring a customizable "U-Cut-to-Fit" outer housing and inner cable, it allows rod builders and LS-swap enthusiasts to establish clean, precise throttle control without binding or unsightly excess cable loops.
Engine Application & Compatibility
This cable assembly features a specialized throttle body connection designed specifically for cable-driven intake manifolds:
GM LS1 V8 Engines:1997–2004 Gen III 5.7L V8 (Corvette C4/C5, Camaro Z28/SS, Pontiac Firebird Trans Am) utilizing cable-operated throttle bodies.
GM Performance Ram Jet 350: 350ci fuel-injected crate engine setups using the Ram Jet intake plenum and throttle linkage.
LS Swaps: Ideal for early trucks, muscle cars, and street rods swapping to cable-actuated LS1 or aftermarket cable throttle bodies (e.g., 3-bolt LS1/LS6 style).
Product Overview & Performance
Original factory LS cables from 1990s and 2000s donor cars are rarely the correct length for retrofits and feature bulky plastic firewall mounts.
Lokar solves this by wrapping a high-tensile stainless steel inner wire inside an extruded PTFE (Teflon) liner. This low-friction sleeve ensures smooth cable motion through tight bends, prevents internal binding, and stands up to engine bay heat over thousands of miles. Custom aluminum ferrules clamp over the trimmed inner wire ends to prevent fraying during setup.

Braided Stainless Steel:Features a high-shine stainless steel braid with brushed or polished aluminum fittings.
Hi-Tech Black Stainless Steel:Features a black braided stainless steel sheath fitted with black anodized aluminum hardware.
Universal Black:Features a durable black polyethylene housing paired with clean aluminum fittings for an OEM-style look.

Installation & System Recommendations
Intake Manifold Bracket: For clean cable anchor mounting on LS1 intake manifolds, pair this cable with Lokar's billet aluminum LS1 throttle cable bracket (Part # TCB-40LS1), which bolts directly to the intake manifold studs.
Transmission TV / Kickdown Cables: If running a non-electronic GM automatic transmission (such as a 700R4 or TH350) behind your LS engine, Lokar manufactures matching throttle valve/kickdown cable bracket conversion kits.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
