Description
The Heidts Superide® Independent Front Suspension (IFS) provides a total modernization for 1928–1931 Ford Model A projects. Unlike universal Mustang II conversions, the Superide® is a ground-up engineering solution designed specifically to fit the narrow proportions and geometry of the Model A frame while delivering superior ride quality.
Engineering and Performance
Proprietary Design: This is a dedicated system where every component is designed by Heidts to work in unison. It is not a Mustang conversion, ensuring the geometry is correct for this specific application.
Ride Characteristics: Engineered for a very low stance and high steerability, featuring built-in anti-dive and zero bumpsteer to ensure smooth handling.
The Superide® Spindle: Features an exclusive one-piece spindle manufactured from 1045 chromoly steel. This design provides a cleaner, high-tech look and allows for a lower ride height than standard dropped spindles.
Optimized Tread Width: A 56-inch hub-to-hub width provides the classic narrow front-end look without creating tire-to-fender clearance issues.
Construction and Fitment
Fender Compatibility: The upper control arms are specifically contoured to clear the fenders, resolving a common fitment issue in Model A builds.
Simplified Installation: The one-piece crossmember allows for a straightforward, one-step installation process to the frame.
Independent vs. Straight Axle: This system provides significantly better ride quality than a traditional 4-link dropped axle setup at a comparable cost.

Weld-in Crossmember: One-piece design for maximum structural rigidity.
Control Arms: Upper and lower A-frame style arms designed for fender clearance.
Rack and Pinion Steering: For modern, precise handling.
Disc Brake Assembly: Complete with rotors, calipers, and brackets.
Coil-Over Shocks: Specifically valved for the weight and geometry of the Model A.
Hardware & Seals: Includes all necessary bearings, seals, and mounting hardware for a complete hub-to-hub installation.
Technical Notes
Structural Integrity: As a weld-in system, it requires professional installation to the frame to provide a modern, independent foundation.
Non-Interchangeable Parts: Because this is a proprietary system, individual components are not interchangeable with stock Mustang II or other OEM pieces, ensuring the integrity of the original geometry.
Value Addition: Upgrading to a Superide® system is recognized as a primary way to increase the market value and drivability of a completed street rod.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
