The Heidts Superide® II IFS System for 1964–1970 Mustangs has been completely redesigned to meet the demands of modern performance builds. While offering the ultimate in ride and handling, this specific iteration is engineered to provide the necessary clearance and structural support for Ford Coyote 5.0L and Modular 4.6L/5.4L engines, which are significantly wider than original legacy Ford powerplants.
Engineering and Engine Compatibility
Modern Engine Fitment: The redesigned K-member is the core of this kit, specifically profiled to accommodate the larger footprint of the Ford Coyote and Modular engine families.
Shock Tower Elimination: By moving to an independent front suspension, the bulky factory shock towers can be removed. This creates the engine bay width required for modern overhead-cam Ford engines.
Advanced Geometry: This is not a basic Mustang II conversion. The Superide® II features advanced geometry designed to provide a "luxury performance" ride—smooth on the street but flat and responsive in the corners.
Adjustable Alignment: The tubular control arms are designed with built-in adjustability for both caster and camber, ensuring you can dial in the perfect alignment for high-speed stability.
Performance and Stance
Aggressive Profile: The kit comes standard with 2-inch dropped spindles, giving your classic Mustang a modern, lowered stance while maintaining optimized suspension travel.
Precision Steering: Includes a manual rack and pinion as standard, with a power rack upgrade available for those seeking easier maneuverability.
High-Performance Braking: Features 11-inch rotors paired with 4-piston Wilwood calipers, providing the modern stopping power necessary for high-horsepower engine swaps.

With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
