The Heidts Superide® II Subframe System for the 1962–1967 Chevy Nova is a premium, ground-up engineering solution designed to replace the original bolt-on front clip. While standard conversion kits are a solid upgrade, the Superide® II uses advanced geometry specifically tuned for street rod-style handling and a superior ride quality that balances high performance with road comfort.
Engineering and Advanced Geometry
Complete Clip Replacement: This system replaces the entire factory front subframe from the firewall forward. It provides a more rigid platform that virtually eliminates the chassis flex associated with the original Chevy II unibody design.
Premium Geometry: The Superide® II is designed with optimized camber and caster curves. This ensures that the tires maintain a flat contact patch during cornering, providing a modern, "on-rails" feel.
Structural Support: The kit includes support tubes (available in fixed or adjustable versions) that tie the new subframe back to the firewall. This reinforcement is critical for handling the increased cornering loads the new suspension provides.
Engine Bay Clearance: By removing the factory shock towers, you gain significant width in the engine compartment, allowing for easy installation of high-performance headers and simplified engine maintenance.
Performance and Stance
Modern Dampening: This kit comes standard with billet coil-over shocks and springs, offering a significant upgrade in ride control and the ability to fine-tune the car's ride height.
Precision Steering: Includes a manual rack and pinion for excellent feedback and weight savings, with a power rack upgrade available for those seeking modern luxury steering effort.
Dropped Profile: Includes your choice of Stock or 2-inch dropped spindles. The dropped spindles are the standard for achieving an aggressive, low-slung stance without sacrificing suspension travel.
Braking Excellence: Standard with 11-inch iron rotors and Wilwood calipers, providing high-end stopping power right out of the box.

Main Subframe: Heavy-duty front subframe assembly.
Control Arms: Tubular upper and lower arms (Stock or Narrowed).
Suspension: Billet adjustable coil-over shocks and performance springs.
Spindles: Stock or 2-inch dropped spindles.
Brakes: 11" iron rotors with Wilwood calipers.
Steering: Manual rack and pinion unit.
Structural Components: Subframe support tubes and inner fender panels.
Available Options:
Air Ride Compatibility: The system can be configured for air shocks. Note: If selecting air ride, the frame rails must be pocketed for proper clearance.
Sway Bar: An essential addition for reducing body roll, available with a chrome upgrade for show-quality builds.
Transmission Crossmember: An optional stock-replacement unit to ensure perfect drivetrain alignment with the new front-end geometry.

With original tags attached

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
