This independent front suspension (IFS) system is the definitive upgrade for replacing the original straight-axle, providing the steering precision and ride quality of a modern pickup while allowing for a much lower stance.
Engineering and Construction
Complete Hub-to-Hub System: This is a comprehensive engineering package that includes a custom-fit crossmember and all components to fully modernize your front end.
Tubular A-Frame Arms: Includes paintable tubular upper and lower control arms. These offer superior structural integrity and a significantly cleaner aesthetic than original stamped steel parts.
Enhanced Braking: Standardized with 11-inch GM-style disc brakes, providing the reliable, fade-resistant stopping power required for modern highway speeds.
Precision Steering: Replaces the original, heavy steering box with a manual rack and pinion, eliminating the "slop" and wandering common in vintage trucks.
Kit Includes:
Control Arms: Choice of Stock or Narrow tubular control arms to accommodate various wheel offsets and widths.
Spindles: Available in Stock height or 2-inch Dropped spindles for those wanting an aggressive, lowered profile.
Braking: Standard 11" GM Disc Brakes (Premium Wilwood high-performance upgrades are available).
Steering: Manual Rack and Pinion (Power steering racks are available as an upgrade).
Suspension Options: Standard Shocks and Springs (Optional upgrades include Coil-over shocks or an Air Bag kit for maximum height adjustability).
Full Hardware Package: Includes rubber spring cushions, spindle nuts, washers, bearings, seals, and all necessary mounting hardware.
Installation & Technical Notes
Weld-In Installation: The crossmember and spring towers are designed to be welded directly to the frame rails for maximum strength.
Frame Preparation: Frame boxing is required to reinforce the original rails, providing the necessary rigidity for an independent suspension system.
Alignment Precision: Once installed, this kit allows for full adjustment of caster, camber, and toe, unlike the original fixed axle.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
