The Heidts Superide® II IFS System is a top-tier independent front suspension upgrade specifically for 1948–1952 Ford F-Series trucks. This kit replaces the original heavy straight axle and leaf springs with a modern setup, delivering a smooth ride and precise handling while significantly increasing the truck's market value.
Engineering and Performance
Proprietary Design: This is a ground-up independent suspension system, not a Mustang conversion. It is engineered to handle the specific load requirements and geometry of the "Bonus Built" Ford frame.
Maintain Stock Track Width: For this specific application, narrowed control arms are recommended. This ensures that the wheels stay tucked within the fenders, maintaining the original track width and allowing for more versatile wheel and tire combinations.
Locked-In Alignment: The upper control arms utilize threaded adjusters for wheel alignment. Unlike traditional eccentric adjusters, these threaded units will not "slip" or lose their setting, ensuring the truck stays perfectly aligned even after hitting significant road bumps.
Front-Mount Steering: By using a specific spindle design, the kit features a front-mount rack and pinion. This configuration provides maximum clearance in the engine bay, simplifying the installation of modern V8 engines and exhaust routing.
Construction and Features
3-Piece Crossmember: The specialized 3-piece design allows for an easier, more accurate installation on the original Ford truck frame rails.
Included Upgrades: This kit comes standard with a power steering rack and a sway bar, providing immediate improvements in steering response and body roll control.
High-Performance Braking: Equipped with 11-inch rotors and 4-piston Wilwood calipers as standard, providing modern stopping power that matches the truck's improved performance.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.

If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
