The Heidts Superide® II IFS System represents the ultimate front suspension upgrade for 1941–1948 Ford passenger cars. Engineered specifically for the "fat fender" era, this system replaces the original chassis components with a modern independent setup that balances a low, aggressive stance with superior ride quality and precise handling.
Engineering and Performance
Dedicated Design: This is a ground-up independent suspension system, not a modified Mustang conversion. Every part is engineered to work in harmony with the weight and geometry of the 1941–1948 Ford frame.
Front-Mount Steering: By utilizing a specific spindle design, this kit features a front-mount rack and pinion. This configuration is highly beneficial for engine swaps, as it creates significantly more room in the engine bay compared to rear-steer setups.
Alignment Security: The upper control arms utilize threaded adjusters for wheel alignment. Unlike traditional eccentric adjusters, these threaded units are designed to stay locked in place, ensuring your alignment never slips regardless of road conditions.
Precision Geometry: The Superide® II features built-in anti-dive and zero bumpsteer, ensuring the vehicle remains level and highly steerable through corners and under heavy braking.
Construction and Features
3-Piece Crossmember: The specialized 3-piece design allows for an easier installation process on the original frame rails.
Standard Performance Upgrades: Unlike many other kits, this system comes standard with a power steering rack and a sway bar to ensure immediate handling improvements.
Braking Excellence: Standard equipment includes 11-inch rotors paired with 4-piston Wilwood calipers, providing reliable, high-performance stopping power.
Adjustable Stance: Includes billet coil-over shocks and springs. You can choose between stock or 2-inch dropped spindles to achieve your desired ride height.

Main Crossmember: 3-piece weld-in structural unit.
Control Arms: Tubular upper and lower arms with threaded adjusters.
Spindles: Stock or 2-inch dropped units.
Brakes: 11" rotors and 4-piston Wilwood calipers.
Steering: Power rack and pinion (Manual available upon request).
Suspension: Billet coil-over shocks and springs.
Stabilizer: Front sway bar with bushings and mounting hardware.
Hardware: Complete hub-to-hub kit including all necessary bearings and seals.
Technical Notes
Weld-In Installation: Professional welding is required to integrate the crossmember into the vehicle's frame rails.
Drivability: This system is specifically tuned for "cruisers," providing a smooth, modern feel that significantly increases the drivability and resale value of the car.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
