This system replaces the original, cumbersome transverse leaf spring setup with a sophisticated independent front suspension, delivering the smooth ride, precise handling, and improved safety expected of a modern street rod.
Engineering and Construction
Total Hub-to-Hub Solution: This kit arrives as a complete engineering package, featuring a custom-contoured crossmember and all components needed for a full front-end conversion.
Tubular A-Frame Arms: Includes paintable tubular upper and lower control arms. These offer superior structural strength and a significantly cleaner, more professional look than original stamped steel parts.
Contemporary Braking: Standardized with 11-inch GM-style disc brakes, providing the reliable, fade-resistant stopping power required for modern highway speeds.
Responsive Steering: Replaces the old steering box with a precise manual rack and pinion, eliminating the steering "wander" and heavy feel common in vintage Fords.
Kit Includes:
Control Arms: Choice of Stock or Narrow tubular control arms to ensure proper wheel fitment within the fenders.
Spindles: Choice of Stock height or 2-inch Dropped spindles for those wanting to achieve a lower, custom profile.
Braking: Standard 11" GM Disc Brakes (Premium Wilwood high-performance upgrades are available).
Steering: Manual Rack and Pinion (Power steering rack and pinion is available as an upgrade).
Suspension Options: Standard Shocks and Springs (Upgrade options include Coil-over shocks or an Air Bag kit for adjustable ride height).
Complete Hardware: Includes spindle nuts, washers, rubber spring cushions, bearings, seals, and all essential mounting hardware.
Installation & Technical Notes
Weld-In Integration: This kit is designed for a weld-in installation, requiring the crossmember and spring towers to be fused to the frame rails for maximum structural integrity.
Frame Preparation: It is highly recommended to box the frame rails in the area of the crossmember to support the increased loading of a modern IFS system.
Axle Centerline: Installation involves centering the new crossmember on the original axle centerline to ensure your wheels remain perfectly centered in the fender openings.
Engine Adaptability: Multiple spring rates are available to accommodate a wide range of powerplants, from the original Flathead V8 to heavy Big Blocks or modern LS swaps.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
