This system replaces the original, heavy straight-axle setup with a high-performance independent front suspension, delivering significantly improved handling, a smoother ride, and the reliability needed for modern road speeds.
Engineering and Construction
Comprehensive Hub-to-Hub System: This kit provides a complete engineering solution, including the main crossmember and all components needed for a professional installation.
Tubular A-Frame Arms: Comes with paintable tubular upper and lower control arms. These offer a significant upgrade in strength and aesthetics over traditional stamped steel alternatives.
Modern Braking: Features 11-inch GM-style disc brakes as standard, providing consistent and powerful stopping capability that far exceeds original drum brakes.
Precision Steering: Includes a manual rack and pinion system, effectively eliminating the "play" and heavy steering feel of vintage steering gear.
Kit Includes:
Control Arms: Choice of Stock or Narrow tubular control arms to ensure proper wheel fitment within your truck's fenders.
Spindles: Available in Stock height or 2-inch Dropped spindles for those wanting to achieve a lower, custom stance.
Braking: Standard 11" GM Disc Brakes (Premium Wilwood high-performance upgrades are available).
Steering: Manual Rack and Pinion (Power steering racks are available as an upgrade).
Suspension Options: Standard Shocks and Springs (Optional upgrades include Coil-over shocks or an Air Bag kit for maximum adjustability).
Hardware Package: Includes all necessary mounting hardware, spindle nuts, washers, rubber spring cushions, bearings, and seals.
Installation & Technical Notes
Welding Required: This is a weld-in kit. The crossmember and spring towers must be welded to the frame for a permanent, structural bond.
Frame Preparation: Frame boxing plates are included and must be installed to reinforce the rails before the crossmember is welded in place.
Customization and Fitment
This kit is highly versatile, allowing you to select spring rates based on your specific engine choice (from a classic straight-six to a modern small block). For those prioritizing cornering performance, optional stabilizer (sway) bars are also available to further refine the truck's handling characteristics.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
