Description
The Heidts Superide® II IFS System is a premium independent front suspension designed to modernize the 1937–1939 Chevrolet. Engineered specifically for the "fat fendered" era, this system replaces outdated factory components with a purpose-built setup that delivers a smooth ride, modern handling, and a significant increase in vehicle value.
Engineering and Performance
Dedicated Design: This is a ground-up independent suspension system, not a Mustang II conversion. Every component is engineered to work in harmony with the weight and geometry of the late-1930s Chevrolet frame.
Front-Mount Steering: By utilizing a specific spindle design, this kit features a front-mount rack and pinion. This configuration provides much-needed clearance in the engine bay, simplifying the installation of modern V8 engines and exhaust headers.
Alignment Security: The upper control arms feature threaded adjusters for wheel alignment. Unlike eccentric adjusters that can shift under stress, these threaded units stay locked in place, ensuring your alignment remains true even after hitting significant road bumps.
Precision Geometry: The Superide® II is designed for a low stance and high steerability. It includes built-in anti-dive and zero bumpsteer to ensure predictable, stable handling during cornering and braking.
Construction and Features
3-Piece Crossmember: The specialized 3-piece design allows for an easier, more accurate installation on the original Chevrolet frame rails.
Included Performance Upgrades: This system comes standard with a power steering rack and a sway bar, providing an immediate improvement in steering response and body roll control.
Braking Excellence: Standard equipment includes 11-inch rotors paired with 4-piston Wilwood calipers, delivering modern, high-performance stopping power.
Adjustable Stance: Includes billet coil-over shocks and springs. You can choose between stock or 2-inch dropped spindles to achieve the perfect ride height.
Kit Includes:
Main Crossmember: 3-piece weld-in structural unit.
Control Arms: Tubular upper and lower arms with threaded adjusters.
Spindles: Choice of stock or 2-inch dropped units.
Brakes: 11" rotors and 4-piston Wilwood calipers.
Steering: Power rack and pinion (Manual available upon request).
Suspension: Billet coil-over shocks and springs.
Stabilizer: Front sway bar with bushings and mounting hardware.
Hardware: Complete hub-to-hub kit including all necessary bearings and seals.
Installation & Technical Notes
Weld-In Integration: Professional welding is required to secure the crossmember to the chassis for a permanent, structural bond.
Optional Air Ride: If you choose to upgrade to air ride shocks, note that the frame rails must be pocketed to provide the necessary clearance for the air bags.
Weight Compatibility: Various spring rates are available to accommodate different engine weights, from traditional straight-sixes to modern LS swaps.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
