Upgrade your 1937–1939 Chevrolet with the Heidts Mustang II Front Suspension Kit. This system is engineered to replace the original knee-action or straight-axle suspension with a modern independent setup, drastically improving steering geometry, ride comfort, and braking reliability.
Engineering and Construction
Complete Integration: This kit is a comprehensive "hub-to-hub" solution, including the main crossmember and all necessary suspension and steering components.
Tubular A-Frame Arms: Includes paintable tubular upper and lower control arms. These provide a much cleaner aesthetic and greater strength than original equipment or stamped aftermarket alternatives.
Modern Braking: Equipped with 11-inch GM-style disc brakes as standard, providing a massive increase in safety and stopping power over vintage drums.
Responsive Steering: Features a manual rack and pinion system that eliminates the play associated with old steering boxes and drag links.
Kit Includes:
Control Arms: Your choice of Stock or Narrow tubular control arms to accommodate various wheel and tire combinations.
Spindles: Available with Stock height or 2-inch Dropped spindles for those wanting a lower, more aggressive stance.
Brakes: Standard 11" GM Disc Brakes (Premium Wilwood brake upgrades are also available).
Steering: Manual Rack and Pinion (Power steering racks are available as an upgrade).
Suspension Options: Standard Shocks and Springs (Optional upgrades include Coil-over shocks or an Air Bag kit).
All Hardware: Includes rubber spring cushions, spindle nuts, washers, bearings, seals, and all necessary mounting hardware.
Customization and Fitment
This kit is designed to be highly adaptable. For improved handling through the corners, stabilizer (sway) bars are available to complete the package. Whether you are building a smooth cruiser or a high-performance street rod, this Heidts kit provides the modern foundation your Chevy needs.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
Please note:
Payment processing fees (including PayPal, Amazon Pay, or other merchant fees) are non-refundable
It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund
