Description
The Heidts Open Wheel Superide® is a specialized independent front suspension engineered specifically for fenderless 1932 Ford projects using pinched frame rails. This system combines high-performance geometry with a unique aesthetic designed to be showcased on an open-wheel hot rod.
Open Wheel Engineering
Pinched Rail Compatibility: This kit is precision-engineered for chassis where the frame rails have been narrowed (pinched) to approximately 20 inches wide at the axle centerline.
Extended Control Arms: The swept-back control arms feature a unique geometry where the front tubes align with the axle center. These arms are longer than standard units to bridge the gap created by the narrowed frame, providing a clean and integrated look.
Show-Quality Design: Because the suspension is fully visible on fenderless cars, the components are designed for maximum visual impact, offering a high-tech alternative to traditional drop-axle setups.
Performance and Ride Quality
Superide® Geometry: Despite the custom look, this kit maintains the core Superide® advantages, including built-in anti-dive and zero bumpsteer for a smooth, predictable ride.
Superior Handling: This system offers significantly better road-holding and steering precision than a conventional 4-link or hair-pin dropped axle.
Advanced Braking: Equipped with 11-inch rotors and Wilwood brakes as standard, providing high-performance stopping power that matches the kit's premium engineering.
Kit Includes:
Control Arms: Swept-back tubular upper and lower arms (Available in Plain or Polished finishes).
Spindles: Proprietary Superide® one-piece spindles (Available in Plain or Polished).
Brakes: 11" Rotors with high-performance Wilwood calipers.
Steering: Manual rack and pinion for direct, responsive feedback.
Shocks & Springs: Billet coil-over shocks (Available in Plain or Polished).
Sway Bar: An optional stabilizer bar is available to further refine cornering stability.
Complete Hardware: Ships with all necessary bearings, seals, and mounting hardware for a hub-to-hub installation.
Installation & Technical Notes
Weld-In Fitment: The main crossmember requires professional welding to the pinched frame rails to ensure structural integrity and proper suspension geometry.
Visual Symmetry: The design ensures that even with the narrowed frame, the suspension components maintain a balanced, purposeful stance on the vehicle.
Proprietary Components: Like all Superide® systems, these parts are designed to work as a complete unit and are not interchangeable with standard Mustang II components.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
