The Powermaster PowerMAX Plus Starter is a high-efficiency, lightweight upgrade designed for the Ford Modular and Coyote V8 engine families (4.6L, 5.0L, 5.4L, 6.2L, and 6.8L). By utilizing a permanent magnet motor and a high-leverage gear reduction system, this starter provides reliable cranking power for engines with moderate compression while significantly reducing the strain on your vehicle's electrical system.

The PowerMAX Plus series is engineered to outperform bulky factory starters through superior mechanical leverage:
High Torque Output: Delivers 160 lb-ft of torque, providing confident starts for performance street engines and mild builds.
6:1 Gear Reduction: This aggressive ratio allows a smaller, lighter motor to generate massive cranking force, making it more efficient than traditional direct-drive starters.
Power Efficiency: Rated at 1.7 HP (1.4 kw), it provides high-speed cranking while drawing less current from the battery.
Industry-Leading "Infini-Clock" Fitment
One of the most versatile features of the PowerMAX Plus is its ability to adapt to custom engine bays and tight clearances:
12-Position Rotation: The billet aluminum mounting block allows the starter motor to be clocked in 12 different orientations. This ensures you can rotate the solenoid away from hot headers or oversized oil pans.
Header & Pan Clearance: If your stock starter cleared your oil pan, this unit will too—often providing even more room for "kicked-out" competition pans or long-tube exhaust headers.
Lightweight Design: This Hitachi-style (PSL100) replacement is significantly lighter than the OEM Ford unit, reducing front-end weight and making installation much easier in cramped spaces.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
