The FiTech Ultimate Tall LS1/LS2/LS6 500HP with Transmission Control + Hy-Fuel Tight-Fit In-Tank Retrofit Master Kit combines FiTech's high-ram electronic fuel injection and transmission management system with an internal, high-volume Hy-Fuel in-tank fuel delivery setup. Designed for cathedral-port GM LS engines, this package offers a complete, self-tuning induction and fuel system built to handle up to 500 horsepower while maintaining quiet, cool-running in-tank pump operation.
System Architecture & Performance Highlights
Hy-Fuel Tight-Fit In-Tank Retrofit: Features a compact, low-profile in-tank fuel pump assembly designed to fit into narrow or shallow fuel tanks, fuel cells, or Tanks, Inc. EFI conversion tanks. Submerging the pump inside the tank reduces pump noise, keeps fuel temperatures cooler, and prevents fuel starvation/vapor lock.
Tall / High-Ram Fabricated Intake Plenum: Engineered with an elevated plenum volume and tuned runner lengths to maximize mid-to-high RPM airflow velocity and cylinder filling on cathedral-port LS heads.
Integrated Transmission Control: Includes built-in electronic control for GM 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, and 4L80E automatic transmissions, enabling custom tuning of shift points, shift firmness, and torque converter clutch (TCC) lockup via the handheld touchscreen.
500HP Fuel Injector Package: Equipped with fuel injectors specifically calibrated to supply accurate fuel volume for naturally aspirated street builds making up to 500 horsepower.
Cathedral-Port Compatibility: Engineered specifically to seal against GM cathedral-port cylinder heads (LS1, LS2, LS6, and 4.8L/5.3L/6.0L truck platforms).
Plug-and-Play Engine & Trans Wiring: Fully labeled automotive-grade wiring harnesses for both engine sensors and GM transmission solenoids eliminate harness cutting, splicing, or factory ECU re-flashing.

Installation & System Sizing Notes
Hood & Cowl Clearance Verification: Due to the Tall/High-Ram plenum design, verify engine bay hood clearance, cowl clearance, and strut-tower bracing height prior to installation (may require a cowl-induction hood on low-profile passenger cars).
In-Tank Module Installation: The Hy-Fuel module requires drilling a mounting hole pattern into the top flat surface of your fuel tank (or drop-in installation on pre-cut Tanks Inc. / EFI tanks) and adjusting the internal pickup height to match your tank depth.
Port Shape Verification: Confirm cylinder heads feature cathedral ports (LS1/LS2/LS6 style); this intake manifold will not seal on rectangular-port heads (LS3/L92) or square-port heads (LS7).
Transmission Wiring & Setup: Connect the dedicated transmission harness directly to the main 13-pin connector on the 4L60E/4L80E transmission case and set tire height, axle gear ratio, and shift parameters using the handheld touchscreen.
Oxygen Sensor Placement: Weld the included wideband O2 sensor bung into the exhaust header or collector pipe at least 18 inches downstream of the exhaust ports and upstream of any catalytic converters.

In its original packaging

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
