The Carolina Customs Easy Outside Door Handle Installation Kit is a specialized hardware system engineered to streamline the process of mounting aftermarket or original exterior door handles to your vehicle. When retrofitting classic street rods, custom trucks, or custom builds with modern safety latches, aligning the exterior handle with the latch can be a tedious fabrication challenge.
This kit bolts directly into the inner structure of the door, providing a stable, pre-engineered sleeve that your handle shaft slides through for smooth, binding-free operation.
Simplified Bolt-In Architecture
Structural Bolt-In Mounting: The installation housings are designed to bolt securely into the internal door structure. This provides a rigid foundation that eliminates sheet metal flexing when pulling or turning the outside door handle.
Precision Guide Sleeve: The shaft of your outside door handle slides directly through the center of the installed kit housing. This maintains perfect linear alignment, ensuring the handle cannot wobble or scratch your exterior paint.
Mechanical Rod Linkage Integration: Once the handle shaft is secured through the guide housing, you can cleanly connect your mechanical actuation rods directly from the handle's internal lever to the latch release lever.
Complete Dual-Door Package
Two-Door Coverage: Each kit comes complete with all the primary structural housings and necessary components to outfit two doors (both the driver and passenger sides).

🛠️ Fabricator's Installation Note: When cutting your custom door actuation rods to length, ensure the door glass is fully rolled down into the door cavity. This allows you to verify that the newly installed handle mechanism and rods completely clear the window tracking and glass edges during operation.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
