The 1936 Chevy Standard Bolt-On Rear Parallel Leaf Spring Kit (AS-1017CG) by Chassis Engineering provides a complete, modern rear suspension transformation for your classic Chevrolet. Engineered specifically for the 1936 Chevy Standard frame layout, this kit replaces obsolete torque-tube rear setups with a smooth-riding, parallel leaf spring design built for high-performance gas shocks and modern open-driveline rear ends.
Designed as a direct bolt-on installation, this package accommodates axle housing diameters up to 3", making it compatible with popular modern rear axle swaps such as Ford 8-inch, Ford 9-inch, and GM 10/12-bolt axles.

2-1/2" Rear Slider Leaf Springs: Features wide, smooth-riding leaf springs with slider pads that mitigate binding and deliver improved ride quality over stock.
Adjustable Upper Shock Bar: Width-adjustable upper crossmember allows custom positioning of the top shock mounts to clear frame rail obstructions.
Reversible Lower Shock Mounts: Heavy-duty lower shock plates can be mounted angled upward or downward to dial in ideal shock travel, ground clearance, and stance.
Gas-Charged Shock Absorbers: Includes matched gas shocks designed for smooth damping control and stability under load.

Specify Rear End Specs: When placing your order, specify the exact rear axle housing type (e.g., Ford 9", GM 10-Bolt) so the correct U-bolts and spring pads are supplied.
Frame Protection Option: To prevent suspension bottoming-out and avoid frame damage under heavy suspension compression, adding a pair of adjustable rubber frame snubbers is highly recommended.

Damages and Issues
