I’ve been waiting to write this till I completed my install 77 c10 gen 1 350 . Tall valve covers aluminum square port heads . Long water pump. Dual groove pulley a. Sanden unit from classic industries who also recommended Alan grove to me. On my passenger head I had to drill a 3/8 x 16 hole approx 3/4 inch deep to facilitate this install. Spacers are provided in this kit and installed correctly alignment was very good. I will note even though I have dual groove ac pulley only one groove is used. Same with the associated power steering. My customer wanted to retain v belts and reduce costs also likes nostalgic look of v belts but I. This case a serpentine conversion may have been a better choice even though more expensive. I had a hiccup after dry fitting I noted 17 spacers and nine brackets in all for this install. My powder coater lost a 7/8 spacer I was provided. I was able to make do with an extra spacer and washers included with my purchase to complete the install. Finally a template to drill the head would be helpful with a third point of reference as a guide. To drill the head I had to dry fit the bracket to get proper position but using the bracket as a template was cumbersome and difficult to center punch accurately for drilling. The bracket in place was about 5 inches from the head and difficult to center. I was a fraction off and initial bracket pull up was tight but ultimately looks plumb. Finally when installed you will have three empty threaded bosses on the water pump exposed if you want to run bolts in for a more finished look?
