Description
The OptiFuse Type I Short Stop Circuit Breaker (Waytek Part # 86415 / Mfr. # ACBP-H-40C 40A) is a commercial-grade, self-correcting thermal safety device designed to protect auxiliary automotive, marine, and RV electrical systems from dangerous overcurrent spikes and short circuits. Unlike traditional fuses that blow and require manual replacement, or Type II/III breakers that require manual resetting, this Type I breaker features an automatic reset mechanism that restores power to the circuit once the overcurrent fault cools down or clears.
Auto-Reset Performance & Diagnostics
Type I Automatic Reset: This breaker utilizes an internal bimetallic strip element. When an electrical overload occurs, the heat bends the strip to break the contact and interrupt the circuit. Once the breaker cools down, it automatically snaps back into position to restore power. This is ideal for critical remote circuits where you cannot afford to lose power indefinitely or cannot easily reach a manual reset button.
Industry Standard Color Coding: The body of this 40 Amp model is molded in Orange plastic, matching the universal automotive industry color standard for fast visual identification of circuit amperage.
Heavy-Duty Structural Design
Right-Angle Metal Mounting Bracket: Features a rigid, pre-installed offset right-angle metal bracket. This allows you to bolt the breaker body completely flush against firewall bulkheads, inner fender aprons, or flat power distribution panels.
Heavy-Duty Stud Terminals: Equipped with two #10-32 threaded copper stud terminals (labeled AUX for the accessory load side and BAT for the 12V battery power supply side). These threaded studs provide a much more secure, vibrate-resistant connection for heavy-gauge ring terminals than standard push-on spade terminals.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
