The Dakota Digital RTX Gauge System for 1983–2007 Land Rover Defenders is the ultimate instrumentation upgrade for the classic, "non-Puma" dashboard. OEM Styling with Modern Precision
The RTX series is meticulously designed to retain the Land Rover’s stock look, utilizing factory-style layouts and face styling. Once powered on, however, it reveals its high-tech capabilities:
Direct Fit Design: Specifically engineered for the pre-2007 (non-Puma) dash, fitting into the original or reproduction bezel.
Expanded Monitoring: Includes a 120 MPH speedometer and an 8,000 RPM tachometer—significant upgrades over the original factory units.
High-Definition TFT Center: A configurable digital screen provides critical data like odometer readings, trip meters, and performance timers without cluttering the vintage face.
RGB LED Lighting: Choose from over 30 user-selectable colors to independently customize the needles, sweeps, and digital displays, with independent themes for day and night.
Comprehensive Instrumentation
This system combines traditional analog sweeps with modern digital readouts:
Analog Gauges: Speedometer (120 MPH), Tachometer (8k RPM), Water Temperature, and Fuel Level.
Digital Bar Graphs: Oil Pressure (0–80 psi) and Voltmeter (9–17 VDC).
Performance Tracking: Includes a 0–60 MPH timer, 1/4 and 1/8 mile ET/trap speed, and high-speed/RPM recall.
Utility Indicators: Integrated turn signals, high beam, check engine, parking brake, 4x4, and "Wait to Start" for diesel applications.
Simplified Installation & Calibration
Dakota Digital has engineered this system for ease of use in custom or restored vehicles:
Central Control Box: All sensors and power wires run to a single, compact box (5.5" x 3.5"), which then connects to the dash with a single data cable, eliminating cluttered wiring.
Full Sensor Kit: Includes 1/8" NPT water temperature and solid-state oil pressure sensors, plus a pulse generator to replace the original speedometer cable.
Bluetooth App Integration: Calibrate your speedometer, set your fuel level, and configure all colors and themes via the free Dakota Digital mobile app on your smartphone or tablet.
Compatibility Note
Fitment: Designed for 1983–2007 Land Rover Defender models. It is not compatible with the 2007+ "Puma" style dashboards.
Bezel: The gauge system utilizes your OEM or a reproduction style bezel; the bezel itself is shown in photos for presentation and is not included.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
