Description
The Heidts Heavy Duty Series Superide® II for 1973–1987 Chevy C-10 pickups is the ultimate independent front suspension (IFS) upgrade. Designed to replace the bulky and aging factory front crossmember, this system provides modern handling, a lower center of gravity, and the structural integrity required for high-performance Squarebody builds.
Heavy Duty Construction
7-Gauge HRPO Steel: The foundation of the kit is a massive one-piece main crossmember. Constructed from 7-gauge hot rolled pickled and oiled (HRPO) steel, it provides superior strength and a cleaner finish for painting or powder coating.
Internally Gusseted: To ensure zero flex under extreme loads, the crossmember is internally gusseted. This makes it one of the most rigid and durable front-end systems available for the C-10 platform.
Direct Bolt-In: Engineered to be a true bolt-on system, it mounts directly in place of the original factory crossmember, significantly simplifying the installation process compared to weld-in kits.

Modern IFS Geometry: The Superide® II architecture transforms the truck's steering and handling characteristics, providing a much more precise and "car-like" feel on the road.
Engine Compatibility: The heavy-duty design is built to support a variety of engine platforms, from traditional Small Block and Big Block Chevys to modern LS and LT swaps.
Optimized Alignment: The system is designed to maintain proper suspension geometry throughout its travel, ensuring consistent tire contact and improved cornering stability.

Fitment Notes
Short Bed Frames: While this system is designed for a wide range of C-10s, short bed frames may require minor additional modifications to ensure perfect fitment.
Chassis Integration: By replacing the entire factory front suspension, you shed significant weight while gaining much-needed clearance for custom exhaust routing and oil pans.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
