The Heidts 4-Link Rear Suspension Kit for the 1970–1973 Pontiac Firebird is a high-performance, bolt-on solution designed to replace the factory leaf spring setup. This kit provides modern axle control and superior traction while lowering the vehicle 3 to 4 inches for an aggressive, Pro-Touring stance.
Performance and Adjustability
Optimized Traction: By replacing leaf springs with a 4-link system, you eliminate the "wheel hop" and spring wrap common in high-horsepower F-Bodies. This ensures more consistent power delivery to the pavement.
Precision Tuning: The kit features adjustable 4-link mounts, allowing you to fine-tune the suspension's "instant center" and anti-squat. This is essential for dialing in how the car reacts under hard acceleration and during cornering.
Lateral Stability: A heavy-duty panhard bar with dedicated chassis and axle brackets keeps the rear axle perfectly centered under the car, providing predictable handling during high-lateral-G maneuvers.
Ride Height & Control: Equipped with adjustable billet coil-over shocks, giving you full control over the final ride height and the ability to adjust dampening for street comfort or track firmness.
Engineering and Integration
True Bolt-On Design: This system is engineered specifically for the 1970–1973 Camaro floor pan, requiring no cutting or permanent floor modifications. It utilizes existing structural points to reinforce the chassis.
Track Width: Designed for a 58.5-inch track width, making it compatible with a wide variety of popular performance wheel and tire combinations.
Structural Rigidity: The kit includes a full upper coil-over crossmember that ties the rear frame sections together, creating a significantly stiffer platform for the suspension to operate.

Four Link Bars: Adjustable 4-bar links (Available in Plain or Polished).
Upper Crossmember: Full bolt-in coil-over mounting crossmember.
Panhard Bar: Lateral stabilization bar with all mounting hardware.
Suspension: Adjustable billet coil-over shocks (Black, Plain, or Polished) and 10" performance springs.
Brackets: Complete set of bolt-in chassis and axle brackets.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
