The Vintage Air Gen 5 (SureFit) Complete Air Conditioning Kit for the 1969 Chevy Camaro is a total climate control solution that replaces your aging factory AC with a modern, high-performance system. This kit is specifically designed for Camaros originally equipped with factory air, utilizing the existing dash vents while upgrading the internal "brain" to a fully electronic, microprocessor-controlled unit.
Next-Generation Climate Control
Fly-By-Wire Technology: This system completely eliminates outdated, sticking vacuum lines and mechanical cables. Instead, it uses Electronic Cable Converters to turn your original 1969 slide controls into precise electronic inputs.
Superior Cooling & Heating: Unlike the original GM unit, this system features separate high-capacity A/C and heater coils. This allows for a "blend air" function, giving you nearly instantaneous vent temperature adjustments—just like a modern car.
Powerful Blower: A quiet, high-performance blower motor provides variable speed control and improved airflow through the dash, floor, and defrost vents.
Engineered for Performance
Gen V Innovation: These units are built with an injection-molded case for maximum strength and precision. The internal blend air doors feature integral rubber seals to prevent air leaks and ensure every CFM of air goes exactly where you want it.
Rapid Cooling: The high-density aluminum heat exchangers are engineered to cool the cabin faster than any previous aftermarket or factory system, regardless of outside temperatures.
NVH Isolation: The evaporator unit uses rubber well-nut mounting points, which significantly reduces Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) transferred from the engine bay to the cabin.

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
