Chevrolet called them “luxury sedans,” and others called them “land yachts.” The 1969-70 Chevy Caprice and Impala are some of the most comfortable cruisers to ever wear the Chevy bowtie. With their woodgrain sides and plush, spacious interiors, the only thing missing is the RTX gauge system from Dakota Digital. This package retains the stock look you love while adding a full suite of late-model features.
At a glance, these gauges may be mistaken for original equipment, but once you flip the switch and the LED backlighting comes to life in your favorite color, all doubts will vanish. Each system features CNC machined housings and in-house designed electronics, all controlled by a central control box to make installation and setup as easy as possible.

-
Brightness: Both daytime and nighttime brightness can be easily controlled through the RTX setup menu. You can choose your preferred lighting intensity level, which is toggled by the activation of your headlight switch. An optional dimming knob (DIM-1) is available for on-the-fly rotary control.
-
Themes: With 12 factory preset color themes, you can quickly create a beautiful looking system. For the ultimate in customization, you can also choose all of the color zones yourself.
Included Sensors & Components
-
Water Temperature Sensor: 1/8" NPT, ground-isolated sensor with a 10-foot harness.
-
Oil Pressure Sensor: 1/8" NPT solid-state sensor with a 10-foot harness.
-
Cable Driven Speed Sensor/Generator: Replaces GM-style speedometer cables with a 10-foot harness. The sensor requires approximately 5 inches of clearance between the cable drive output and any obstruction. A relocation kit is sold separately for when additional clearance is required.
-
Bushings: Each kit comes with 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT bushings, along with bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads.

-
Mobile App: The RTX system can also be completely configured through the free mobile app, available for Android and Apple devices. You can use the app for quick menu navigation, real-time gauge readouts, or even as a secondary display for diagnostic use.
-
Calibration: All calibration settings are handled through the pushbutton switch or the mobile app. Speedometer and fuel level calibration are a simple process that can be completed with just a few button taps and a short test drive.
Note: The dash bezel is not included and is shown for visual/presentation purposes only. The system uses your OEM or a reproduction style bezel.
