The Altman Easy Latch Kit for 1967 Ford Trucks is a specialized solution for the first year of the "Bumpside" F-Series. This kit is designed to resolve the notorious door-closing issues of these classic trucks by replacing the original, often failed hardware with a high-precision, two-stage "bear jaw" rotary claw.
The 1967 "Inverted" Mounting Challenge
The 1967 model year is unique because the driver’s side door features an inverted mounting pattern compared to the 1968–1972 models. To ensure a perfect fit, this kit includes:
Driver’s Side Correction Plate: A custom mounting plate that adapts the 1967-specific door shell to the modern Altman latch.
Required Modification: Installation involves drilling out the original mounting holes and redrilling new ones on the driver's side to correct the pattern. The passenger side is a standard bolt-in process as it shares the correct pattern found on later models.
Precision Vehicle-Specific Design
Unlike universal "one-size-fits-all" latches, this system is engineered to integrate with your truck's original hardware:
Full Integration: These latches are designed to work seamlessly with your original exterior handles, interior handles, and factory door lock cylinders.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges

Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
