The Heidts 4-Link Rear Suspension Kit for the 1967–1969 Pontiac Firebird is a premier bolt-on solution designed to replace the restrictive factory leaf springs. This system provides modern axle control and superior traction while lowering the vehicle 3 to 4 inches for an aggressive, competition-ready stance.
Performance and Adjustability
Optimized Geometry: By moving to a 4-link system, you eliminate the "leaf spring wrap" and wheel hop common in high-horsepower F-Bodies. This ensures that power is delivered efficiently to the pavement.
Precision Tuning: The kit features adjustable 4-link mounts, allowing you to fine-tune the suspension's "instant center" and anti-squat characteristics. This is vital for dialing in the car's launch and cornering behavior.
Lateral Control: A high-strength panhard bar with dedicated chassis and axle brackets keeps the rear axle perfectly centered under the car, providing predictable handling during high-G maneuvers.
Ride Height & Dampening: Includes adjustable billet coil-over shocks, giving you full control over the final ride height and the ability to adjust valving for street comfort or track firmness.
Engineering and Integration
True Bolt-On Design: This system is engineered specifically for the Firebird floor pan, requiring no cutting or floor modifications. It reinforces the chassis while utilizing existing structural points.
Track Width: Designed for a 58.5-inch track width, making it compatible with a wide range of popular Pro-Touring wheel and tire combinations.
Structural Rigidity: The kit includes a full upper coil-over crossmember that ties the rear frame sections together, creating a much stiffer platform for the suspension to operate.
Kit Includes:
Four Link Bars: Adjustable 4-bar links (Available in Plain or Polished).
Upper Crossmember: Full bolt-in coil-over mounting crossmember.
Panhard Bar: Lateral stabilization bar with all mounting hardware.
Suspension: Adjustable billet coil-over shocks (Black, Plain, or Polished) and 10" performance springs.
Brackets: Complete set of bolt-in chassis and axle brackets.
Available Options:
Full Rear End Package: Optional rear axle housings with pre-installed brackets, high-strength axles, and Positraction gear sets.
Chassis Strengthening:Subframe Connectors and a Drive Shaft Hoop are available (and highly recommended) to minimize unibody flex and increase safety.
Handling & Braking: Optional rear sway bar and performance disc brake kits.

Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
In the same condition as received
Unworn or unused
With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To initiate a return, please contact us at jonathon@hotrodhardware.com. Once your return request is approved, you will be provided with the return address and, if applicable, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number.
Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
