Description
The 1965–1966 Chevy Impala, Biscayne, and Bel Air Fuel Injection Fuel Tank Kit is a comprehensive, bolt-in solution for owners upgrading their classic B-Body to EFI. Engineered to look like an original equipment (OE) tank once installed, this system hides a high-performance GPA-Series fuel pump module and a sophisticated baffling system designed to handle the rigors of Pro-Touring, Autocross, or spirited street driving.
EFI-Ready Engineering
Unlike a standard replacement tank, this unit is purpose-built to meet the high-pressure demands of modern fuel injection:
Advanced Internal Baffling: Features an extra-large 4.8-liter dual-tube baffled fuel tray. This reservoir is critical for preventing fuel pump starvation during hard acceleration, heavy braking, or high-speed cornering.
Recessed Mounts: Both the fuel pump and the sender unit are recessed into the top of the tank. This provides necessary clearance for fuel lines and wiring without requiring any modifications to your trunk floor or car body.
Increased Capacity: This tank holds 24 gallons and is 1" deeper than the stock unit. To accommodate this, the kit includes extended mounting straps.
Premium In-Tank Pump & Sender
Genuine Walbro Pumps: The kit utilizes Walbro (TI Automotive) pumps, an OE-validated brand known for superior hot-fuel handling and rapid recovery from aeration.
Performance Options: You can choose between a 255 LPH (supporting moderate builds) or a 400 LPH pump (supporting up to approximately 1,000 HP).
Versatile Fuel Senders: The system uses an aftermarket 5-bolt sender (6" length). Multiple Ohm ranges are available to match your specific gauges, including the factory 0–90 Ohm (TAN-GML) range for 1965-up GM vehicles.
Heavy-Duty Construction
Corrosion Resistance: The tank is made from coated galvanized steel and finished with a durable Silver Powder Coat.
Leak-Proof Fittings: All fittings are oven-brazed and the mounting plate is a heavy 10-gauge no-warp design with yellow-zinc plating.
System Specs: Designed to handle up to 100 PSI; includes 1/4" NPT supply and return lines plus a barbed vent fitting.
