The 1961–1970 Buick Full-Size Legend Series Rear Disc Brake Kit is a professional-grade conversion designed to bring modern stopping power and safety to the "big body" Buicks, including the Electra, LeSabre, Invicta, and Wildcat. This kit replaces cumbersome, high-maintenance rear drums with a sleek, high-performance disc system that integrates a functional parking brake.
Modern Performance for Classic Iron
The Legend Series focuses on reliability and "modern car" pedal feel:
Self-Adjusting Calipers: The single-piston cast-iron calipers are zinc-plated to resist corrosion. They feature an integrated parking brake assembly that automatically adjusts as the pads wear, eliminating the need for manual star-wheel adjustments.
Superior Cooling: Includes 11.6-inch vented rotors that dissipate heat much more effectively than drums, virtually eliminating brake fade during mountain driving or highway deceleration.
Firm Pedal Feel: The kit includes black braided stainless steel hoses. Unlike original rubber lines that swell under pressure, these provide a firm, consistent response every time you hit the pedal.

This system is a direct bolt-in kit featuring high-end materials:
Billet Components: Utilizes black anodized 6061-T6 billet aluminum axle flange plates for a perfect, play-free fit against the Buick housing.
Heavy-Duty Brackets: CAD-designed primary and secondary mounting brackets are zinc-plated for long-term durability.
High-Strength Hardware: Every kit is supplied with Grade 8 mounting bolts to ensure the system remains secure under the heaviest braking loads.
Essential Fitment Notes
Wheel Size: A minimum of a 15-inch wheel is required. Note that not all factory 15-inch steel wheels will clear the calipers; it is highly recommended to use a fitment template before installation.
Buick Rallye Wheels: If you are running the popular Buick 802 style Rallye wheels, you must use a specific wheel spacer and stud kit (MPB Part# AC-BUICKSPACER-K) to provide proper clearance.
Bolt Pattern: The rotors come pre-drilled with the standard GM 5 x 5" bolt pattern common to full-size Buicks.

With original tags attached
In its original packaging
You must also provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important: Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and resolve it promptly.

Exchanges
The fastest way to receive a replacement item is to return your original item (once approved) and place a new order separately.
Free Shipping Orders
Orders that qualified for free shipping are subject to deduction of the original outbound shipping cost if the item is returned.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you regarding the approval status of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
Any applicable restocking fees will be deducted
Original shipping charges (if applicable) will be deducted
Return shipping costs (if arranged by Hot Rod Hardware) will be deducted
