The 1935–1941 Ford Truck Bolt-On SuperSlide Adjustable Rear Leaf Spring Kit for Stock Frames by Posies (Part #8040BS) converts mid-to-late 1930s Ford chassis with un-boxed (stock) frame rails from the original transverse rear leaf spring to a modern parallel rear leaf spring setup.
The 8040BS Adjustable Kit features mounting brackets designed specifically to mount inboard of stock, un-boxed frame rails. Its front mounting brackets provide 2 adjustable positions for the front spring eye, allowing builders to fine-tune the rear stance and dial in the exact ride height to complement dropped beam axles or Independent Front Suspensions (IFS).

Vehicle Application: Fits 1935, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, and 1940 Ford Passenger Cars, as well as 1935 through 1941 Ford 1/2-Ton Pickups.
2-Position Height Adjustment: Dual-position front spring eye mounts provide precise adjustment for rear ride height and stance.
Inboard Stock Frame Mounting: Mounts spring hangers inboard of standard un-boxed frame rails, maximizing rear tire and wheel clearance inside the fender wells.
Centered Wheel Alignment: Custom spring arch and geometry center the rear wheels perfectly within the fender openings.
SuperSlide Inter-Leaf Technology: Features Posies' signature moly-nylon inter-leaf buttons to prevent leaf-on-leaf friction, rust binding, and squeaks.
Driveline Requirement:Open driveline required. Compatible only with modern open-driveline rear end conversions (e.g., Ford 8", Ford 9", GM 10/12-bolt); will not work with original torque tube driveshafts.

Installation Notes & Recommendations
Frame Notch Requirement: Frame "C" notching is suggested to maintain adequate rear axle clearance at lower height settings. Posies frame "C" notch kit #8006 is engineered specifically for this application.
